Tylösand, Sweden 21.06.2026 - Redo Biosolutions was proud to participate as an official collaboration partner at Gasdagarna 2026 this week arranged by Energigas Sverige which took place at beautiful Tylösand, south Sweden. The conference once again confirmed its position as one of the most important meeting places for the future of sustainable gaseous energy in Sweden.

A clear message emerged from all directions: the market for biomethane is accelerating rapidly and regional supply is struggling to keep up.

Across presentations and industry discussions, speakers highlighted growing demand for renewable gas from transport, heavy industry, and especially shipping. Liquefied biomethane was repeatedly identified as one of the most sought-after renewable fuels. The challenge is scale and political concensus.

Industry representatives stressed that Europe must begin thinking far bigger when it comes to biomethane production and infrastructure. The future fuel demand from sectors such as maritime transport alone will require production volumes far beyond current capacity. At the same time, the industry sentiment was optimistic: the technology already exists, the expertise established, and the market demand is already here. What is still required is stronger political leadership, faster decision-making to accelerate permitting, investments, and long-term regulatory frameworks which are aligned across national and international borders.

Another important theme during the conference was the role producers and distributors can play in helping their own customers transition toward lower-carbon operations. Companies that can offer scalable renewable gas solutions are increasingly helping customers reduce emissions while also strengthening competitiveness and meeting growing sustainability requirements.

Policy and regulatory developments were also central topics during Gasdagarna 2026, including ongoing work surrounding the EU Union Database, Guarantees of Origin, mass balancing systems, and implementation of updated EU gas market legislation. The UDB is becoming increasingly important for ensuring traceability and credibility throughout the renewable fuels market and has already missed its original launch date due to being significantly more complex than anticipated, There are ongoing discussions across Europe regarding timelines, technical functionality, and a potential national rollout in Q4 2026/Q1 2027.

As the gas industry continues to evolve rapidly, collaboration across the value chain will remain essential. Redo Biosolutions looks forward to continuing its work with partners, customers, and stakeholders to accelerate and enable reliable access to more home-grown energy.

The evening programme blended Swedish musical entertainment with discussions and networking, before ending in a spontaneous conga line that brought the conference dinner to a memorable close. We thank Energigas Sverige, along with all organisers, speakers, and participants, for two highly valuable and inspiring days in Tylösand!
